Terms & Conditions – Collection, Storage & Responsibility
1. Collection of Goods
All powder coated goods must be collected within 2 business days of notification that the job is complete, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Any goods not collected within this time may incur storage fees. Goods remaining uncollected after 30 days may be deemed abandoned and disposed of or resold to recover costs.
2. Responsibility on Collection
The customer is responsible for inspecting all goods at the time of collection. Any issues must be reported before leaving the premises. Once goods have left the workshop, NQ Powder Coating accepts no responsibility for damage caused by handling, transport, storage, or installation.
3. Storage of Powder Coated Goods
Powder coated goods must not be stored outdoors. Goods must be kept under cover, in a dry and well-ventilated area, and away from direct sunlight, rain, condensation, or moisture. Improper storage may result in discolouration, fading, moisture entrapment, surface defects, or corrosion. NQ Powder Coating accepts no liability for failures resulting from incorrect storage after collection.
4. Packaging
Protective packaging is intended for transport only and not long-term storage. Packaging should be removed as soon as practical to prevent moisture build-up.
5. Limitations
NQ Powder Coating accepts no liability for incorrect storage, exposure to harsh environments, improper handling or transport, incorrect installation, or modifications including welding, drilling, or cutting after coating. Normal wear and tear, impact damage, chemical exposure, and environmental conditions are not covered. Any warranty or liability is strictly limited to the coating process carried out under agreed conditions.
Powder Coating Maintenance & Care Plan Initial Care
Avoid exposing freshly coated items to harsh environments for at least 7 days after coating. Do not use abrasive cloths, scourers, or harsh chemicals.
Routine Cleaning
Clean surfaces every 3–6 months using warm water, mild pH-neutral detergent, and a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry where practical.
What to Avoid
Do not use solvents, thinners, acidic or alkaline cleaners, or abrasive pads. Avoid prolonged contact with salt, fertilisers, concrete dust, or chemicals.
Environmental Considerations
Items in coastal, industrial, or high UV areas require more frequent cleaning and inspection. Items located close to coastal areas require an additional primer system. Customers must advise NQ Powder Coating at the start of the job if goods are intended for coastal or corrosive environments. Failure to disclose this information may void warranty or performance expectations.
