Capability
We handle everything from small jobs to large-scale projects, with custom work always welcome. Our facility can accommodate items up to 7.2 metres in length, allowing us to take on a wide range of jobs. With an extensive selection of colours and textures available, we deliver durable, high-quality finishes with fast turnaround times.
Our Process

Assessment & Preparation
We assess the material, condition, and end use of each item to determine the appropriate preparation method.

Surface Preparation
Depending on the job, this may include abrasive blasting and/or chemical treatment to clean the surface and ensure proper coating adhesion.

Priming
(if required)
For applications requiring additional protection, a suitable primer is applied to improve adhesion and enhance corrosion resistance.

Powder Coating
The selected powder is applied and cured under heat to create a durable, even finish.

Inspection & Completion
Each item is inspected to ensure a high-quality finish before being prepared for collection.
Abrasive Blasting
*If required
Abrasive blasting is used to thoroughly clean the surface by removing rust, old coatings, and contaminants. The process creates a consistent surface profile that improves coating adhesion, helping deliver a stronger, more durable finish.

Environmentally Friendly Chemical Treatment
Our state-of-the-art 6-stage chemical treatment process is designed to thoroughly clean, prepare, and protect the metal before coating. The acid etch removes oils, contaminants, and surface impurities, creating an ideal surface for coating adhesion.
This is followed by an advanced Oxsilan treatment, a modern silane-based pretreatment technology that forms a protective conversion layer on the metal surface. This process significantly improves coating adhesion, corrosion resistance, and the long-term durability of the finished product. Oxsilan is designed for multi-metal applications and is widely recognised as an environmentally responsible alternative to hexavalent chromium and phosphate treatment systems used in the powder coating process.
Compared to conventional pretreatment systems, Oxsilan technology reduces sludge production, lowers water and energy consumption, and is free from hazardous heavy metals commonly associated with older treatment methods.
In addition, our approved trade waste agreement with the local council ensures all chemicals and wastewater are managed and disposed of safely and in accordance with environmental regulations.
The result is a cleaner process, improved coating performance, and a durable finish built to perform reliably over time.
Primer
*Required for all Mild Steel jobs and anything coastal
A primer is applied to improve how well the coating adheres to the metal and to provide an additional layer of protection. This step helps reduce the risk of corrosion and improves the long-term durability of the finish, particularly for items exposed to demanding environments.
We use high-quality Interpon primers, selected to suit the specific application. Some are designed for outdoor use and offer enhanced protection against moisture, salt, and UV exposure, while others are better suited to different substrates and service conditions.
If the coated item will be installed in a coastal, marine, industrial, or other harsh environment, this should be advised when requesting a quote or prior to delivery. This allows us to recommend and apply the most suitable coating system for the intended service conditions.
Using the right primer helps create a stronger, more durable finish that maintains its appearance and performance for longer.

Powder Coating
Powder coating is applied using an electrostatic process, where the metal substrate is earthed and electrically charged powder particles are attracted to the surface, creating a strong and even coating application. The item is then placed in an oven where the powder is cured under heat, forming a durable, even finish.
This process creates a tough, long-lasting coating that is highly resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and general wear. It also provides excellent coverage with no drips or runs, delivering a clean, professional appearance across a wide range of colours and textures.
The result is a durable, high-quality finish that not only looks great but is built to handle everyday use and harsh Australian conditions.
Packing
Once completed, all items are carefully inspected and prepared for collection, with care taken to help protect the finished coating. We recommend appropriate handling and transport practices to ensure the coating remains in excellent condition during transit. For best results, packaged goods should be stored and transported in dry, weather-protected conditions, as prolonged exposure to moisture or harsh environments whilst in protective plastic film or wrap can affect the appearance.
